The Silver Lake FFA Chapter celebrated the upcoming school year by holding a “Back to School Bash” at the Braider Barn on August 16. Students 7-12 were invited to the event to learn about FFA and have a fun-filled night with friends before the start of school. 36 students came to the barn and started the evening out with burgers and hotdogs while FFA members spoke about the oranization. Later, everyone was dismissed to socialize and play yard games such as ladder golf. Lana Swanson commented that her favorite part of the event was “being able to catch up with old friends and make new ones while also learning about how to be active in FFA and what events are best for my interests”. The location of the bash were enhoyed as Swanson added that “the wood work and decorations at the barn were very neat and made it a special night”. Silver Lake FFA wishes everyone a happy school year!
